Over the next few days, Team Rubicon UK will be exhibiting at the Farnborough International Air Show, the most important aviation trade show of the year. During the week, we will be demonstrating our disaster response capability and operating model, from a ‘pop-up’ HQ inside a vast Antonov An-124 cargo plane.
With a real emphasis on air freight in 2018, cargo is to take primacy at this year’s show with a 1,000sqm ‘Cargo Village’ centred around a display of ‘giants of the sky’ including 747s and the Antonov.
Oz Lane, Director of Field Operations for Team Rubicon UK, commented: “We’re hoping to have a number of conversations with like-minded organisations who would like to collaborate on a disaster-response operation, gifting air bridge capability for our planned or response ops or simply funding our work.
“Thanks to CargoLogicAir for giving us the opportunity to tell people who we are and the value we bring to survivors of natural disasters. We see the value they could bring to the sector by significantly increasing the capacity to rapidly move life-saving aid in that initial period post-disaster where human life is in the balance and rapid deployment is critical.”
The show is open to the aviation, humanitarian and logistics sector during the week, and is open to the public on the weekend of 21/22 July!
