The immense success of TRUK so far has been incredible. But to meet our rapidly growing commitments, we’re looking for dedicated interns to join our team at HQ. The successful applicants will provide high quality support to either the Development or Operations Departments. Depending on the skills and interests of the applicant, and the needs of the organisation, the role may include a range of responsibilities from the list below.
If selected, you will be asked to attend a trial week before in order to confirm suitability.
Ability to deploy at short notice into disaster zones
Work within a small team to develop situational awareness in the early stages of a disaster
Use tech and comms platforms to deliver information back to the UK headquarters
After the initial response deploy within the disaster space for a period of up to two weeks
Outside deployments work with the UK headquarters
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
Humanitarian academic qualifications
Remote travel experience
Physical and mental robustness
Good written and oral communication skills
Tech skills (including drone operation)
Understanding the use of social media platforms
