The Need

In 2016 a group of Team Rubicon volunteers worked in Lapubesi, in the Western Region of Nepal, to help rebuild a school that had been destroyed by the earthquake of 2015. Additionally, a small solar farm was erected for the school and local community since their primary power source, a hydroelectric system, had been rendered inoperable by a significant landslide.

The Response

The local military has now cleared the landslide and Team Rubicon are returning to the area to help the community to restore affordable, sustainable energy to the 3,000 residents of the area as well as provide educational resources for the school.
